Following response in mid-2024 to proposed changes to its rules regarding letters of credit for recipients of high-cost competitive bidding support, the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) opted to revamp its standard for US banks to be considered acceptable to FCC for purposes of issuing LCs. DCW had reported on the Proposed Rule issued on 5 July 2024 for which FCC sought comment.
