Proposed US Rule Would Expand Accessory Guarantees

On 3 July 2007, the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to amend an assortment of regulations, one of which is 12CFR7.1017/National Bank as Guarantor or Surety.

If accepted, the change would expand authority for US national banks to issue accessory guarantees.
